Gina Carano, the actress who played Cara Dune in the series The Mandalorian, has taken legal action against Disney and Lucasfilm for her dismissal in 2021 following her comments on her social networks.
According to what THR reports, the actress filed a lawsuit in federal court in California, where she points to wrongful termination and discrimination.

Therefore, in 2021, Lucasfilm announced that Carano would not return to 'The Mandalorian' after Gina compared the rejection of political opinions to the hatred of Jews during the Nazi Holocaust.
The actress, who was critical of the measures taken to combat COVID-19, also suggested the existence of electoral fraud in the elections in her country in 2020.
Gina maintained that her statements were distorted to “demonize” her as a far-right extremist. It should be noted that the interpreter also showed her disagreement with social movements such as Black Lives Matter.
Thus, the actress has requested that both Disney and Lucasfilm compensate her with the amount of $75,000 plus punitive damages, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter.
