Seven months after Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello announced their separation, the couple amicably ended their divorce process this Friday, fulfilling the agreements established in their prenuptial contract, which allowed each one to keep the assets they accumulated individually during their seven-year union.
According to Page Six, the couple had agreed to waive spousal support, plus there was no child support process since they never had children, allowing the couple to expedite the divorce process.
"My marriage broke up because my husband was younger, he wanted to have children and I didn't want to be an old mom. I feel like it's not fair for the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that's not for me anymore. I already had a son at 19 years old, who is now 32 years old, and I am ready to be a grandmother, not a mother," the 51-year-old Colombian actress revealed to the Spanish newspaper. There she expanded by stating that the issue of children ended up becoming a point of contention in the relationship.
And he added: "So, if love presents itself, it has to come with children. I am almost through menopause, it is a natural law of life. When my son is a father, let him bring me the baby for a while and then I give it back to him and continue with my life, that's what I have to do," he added.
On the other hand, neither of them has wasted any time since it was announced that they were going to separate. Both one and the other have moved on with their lives on a sentimental level.
On the one hand, Manganiello has started a relationship with actress Caitlin O'Connor, and Vergara has been seen on several dates with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman.
