The streaming service giant, Netflix, officially opened today its headquarters in France which is located in the center of Paris. The company will create new content and also co-produce with 20 French producers and institutions dedicated to creation. The announcement was made by the CEO, Reed Hastings.
"It currently houses 40 employees in film, television and marketing, and with ample space for at least 100 more, the new bright space is an important sign of intention for the transmitter in one of the most important and regulated markets in Europe", refers to the Deadline page.
In this way, Netflix initiated actions in a new market in which it will create the next original content that will feed the platform, including the futuristic comedy BigBug, of the winner of the César Jean-Pierre Jeunet Award. In addition to the movie, they confirmed that they are already working on new series.
"Screenwriter Fanny Herrero is developing a 6-part series that follows the lives of four young comedians trying to get to the Parisian standing scene," he announces and also the horror series 'Mortal', created by Frederic García and 'Sentinelle', an action movie starring Olga Kurylenko, directed by Julien Leclercq.
