Have you visited a Disney park? If so, perhaps this seems new to you, in these entertainment centers they are removing the mirrors from the bathrooms, according to international media. To what end? Is it to prevent people from accumulating in long lines due to covid-19? Is it a new measure? We tell you everything we know about this new initiative.

According to Clarín, in some Disney amusement parks a direct action is being implemented to avoid the accumulation of people in the queues to enter the bathroom: they are removing the mirrors that were over the sinks from the Disney parks bathrooms.

The aforementioned medium picked up the publication of Apartment Therapy, who detailed that the lack of bathroom mirrors over the sinks is given as an intentional choice, since people accumulate in these places.

Therefore, now people will only wash their hands, dry them and leave the facilities without causing more people to stay for a long time as happens every day.

"The Disney magic behind those fading bathroom lines is a simple detail: they have made the sink mirrors disappear in most of the bathrooms in their theme parks," said Shifrah Combiths, a journalist who visited the amusement park and reported this new implementation.

Although this implementation could work to avoid contagion by covid-19 in the face of crowds, in reality –according to the aforementioned publication–, this action of removing the mirrors is because the Disney authorities want the entries and exits of the bathrooms to occur fluently and that visitors have more time to have more time at the attractions.

"By eliminating the possible bottleneck of people looking in the mirror while washing their hands, Disney achieved the not-so-small feat of having bathrooms with almost no lines," said the journalist.
